Xylo: An Introduction (Gr. K-1)
Description
In this lesson, students will learn basic music vocabulary, such as note, composer, and rhythm. Using the Xylo app, students will write measures of a song to be played using Dash’s Xylophone attachment. Finally, students will select dance moves for Dash to perform while playing a song.
Objectives
- Learn basic music vocabulary
- Create songs using the Xylo app and Dash’s Xylophone attachment
- Program movements for Dash
- Practice sequencing by rearranging measures of music
- Practice creating loops by repeating measures of music
