Number Identification: Number Dash! (Gr. K-1)
Description
In this lesson, students will trace a cardboard number with their finger in order to help learn to identify numbers. Students will practice one-to-one correspondence by counting Dot illustrations printed on each number.
Objectives
- Differentiate between numerals
- Identify numerals
- Use one-to-one correspondence to count objects
- Design a program using Path
Lesson Procedure
- Class 1: Number Matching (20 minutes)
- Class 2: Writing Numbers with Dash (20 minutes)

- Number Outlines (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9) (1 set per group or 1 number per group)
