Number Identification: Number Dash! (Gr. K-1)

Description

In this lesson, students will trace a cardboard number with their finger in order to help learn to identify numbers. Students will practice one-to-one correspondence by counting Dot illustrations printed on each number.

Objectives

  • Differentiate between numerals
  • Identify numerals
  • Use one-to-one correspondence to count objects
  • Design a program using Path

Lesson Procedure

  • Class 1: Number Matching (20 minutes)
  • Class 2: Writing Numbers with Dash (20 minutes)
