CS First - Atoms, Elements and Compounds (Gr. 7-9)
Description
This lesson, designed for grade 7 to 9 teachers, will help you integrate CS First activities to supplement your current Science unit. This series of Activities would be a great challenge or review for students in grades 7-9 studying atoms, elements and compounds. Consider spending time with your students developing background knowledge on key terms (i.e. atoms, compounds, mixtures, etc.) in order to boost their creativity and build in Scratch. Educators should also consider time for collaboration and sharing as their students work through the series.

- Learn how to read the Periodic Table
- Understand the structure of an atom
- Understand Ionic and molecular compounds
