Probability: Flipping and Rolling with Dash! (Gr. 6-8)

Description

In this lesson, using Dash’s variable feature, students will determine the probability of choosing random numbers in a 50/50 setting and a 35/65 setting.

Objectives

  • Define probability
  • Run trials of experiments to determine the probability of a variety of events
  • Convert results as a fraction and a decimal
  • Track and report data effectively
  • Compare and contrast a variety of data sets
  • Predict the results of a probability problem using estimation
  • Practice using conditionals and variables in the Blockly app

Lesson Procedure
