Dash & Dot: Dashing Off with Rates and Speeds (Gr. 4-6)

Description

In this lesson, students will be using the Tickle App to compare and contrast the speed that Dash moves on different surfaces with different speeds selected.

Objectives

  • To write an algorithm for Dash to move a at different speeds for a given time
  • To measure the distance Dash travels in each time period
  • To calculate the rate at which Dash travels
  • To compare and contrast the distance and rate at which Dash travels on variety of surfaces

Lesson Procedure

  • Class 1: Investigating Rates & Speeds (~40 min)
